Lois Hilda Womboldt, of Haslett, passed away September 24, 2019 at the age of 100. She was born November 22, 1918 in Shaftsburg, MI, the daughter of Ivan and Ruth (Peabody) Palmer. Lois married Leonard Womboldt in 1936. She worked for Meridian Charter Township, retiring after many years of service. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, being outside, enjoying her yard, and bragging about her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her 8 children, Jeanette York, Jack (Connie Jo) Womboldt, Dorothy (Jerry) Bancroft, Bonnie (Halstead) Beatty, Connie Wilkins, Donald Womboldt, Ronald (Lori) Womboldt, and Ivan Womboldt; sister, Naomi Pelton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2019 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
