I met Lori through work almost 7 years ago. Even though she was in Cincinnati at the time her kindness and generosity was apparent from that very first phone call. As the years went by and she and her family moved to Grand Rapids we became more than just coworkers we became great friends. I always loved hearing about what fun things Alayna was doing and exchanging stories of home life. You could simply lose hours talking to her. She was a great listener but also wise beyond her years, I will always appreciate the advice she offered. She was by far the strongest woman I knew, and she will be so greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Lori was a stellar individual from whom emanated the most brilliant and dazzling light. She shined so brightly, for her candle was burning at both ends.
I am both fortunate and honored to have had the opportunity to experience her cheerful radiance.
Lori illuminated my world and I shall miss her joyous warmth forevermore.

I treasure the time that I had getting to know Lori as I cared for Alayna at Room To Bloom. Hugs to you Alayna and Brandon! Praying for you as you adjust to life without your dear wife and mother.

Life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. ~ Rossiter W. Raymond

We shared a deep love of horses.

Lori will be greatly missed. She was my first work friend when I started at FTCH almost 7 years ago. I would call her with a question, and we would be on the phone together for a minimum of 30 minutes! I loved her many stories. She always had time to answer a hydraulics question, always lent an ear if the other needed to vent about a co-worker. We shared the craziness of being on a mostly female team in an industry that is primarily male. She trained me in the art of calendar stalking if we needed to locate where Jeff was on a particular day. I admire her positive attitude during her battle, and her determination and strength. I'm truly sorry for your loss Brandon.

I've known Lori for a really long time, but I never really got to know her until she and Brandon moved to Byron Center. I'll remember her for the amazing mom that she was to Alayna, her unreal braiding technique, her quiet competitiveness, for making my best friend and cousin happy for so many years, and for remembering my middle name (wink wink, Brandon). Her strength while facing such adversity is something I'll admire for the rest of my life.
