Louanne was a talker.  After several hours on the line, my husband would poke his head in the door, point to his watch, and mouth, "What could you possibly still have to discuss?"  The topic of conversation didn't matter:  Spartans, kids, politics, travel, weddings, babies, etc.  Louanne was a good gal with a heart of gold and a pocketful of memories to paint the world a brighter color.  She was a friend to many, a helping hand when needed, wonderful teacher,  a devoted loving mother,  and an honor to have known.  As life unfolds, Louanne will be so very  much missed.

It was always a delight to have her visit with us at First Christian Church of North Hollywood, CA.  She raised a great son. 

My friendship with Lou began shortly before we both became moms.  I heard her before I saw her.  New to the neighborhood, I’d walked to my mailbox, and as I pulled the mail out someone hollered, “Hi! When are you due?” I looked across the street to see a woman smiling over at me from her porch. She too was pregnant. As we stood chatting, I couldn’t help wondering how she’d had the nerve to holler across the street to a stranger. 
We became friends and over the years had many adventures. Louanne was wise, genuine, and very funny. I thank my lucky stars that I got to be friends with this joyful person - who wasn’t afraid to holler across the street to a stranger. My heart goes out to Jeremy and her loved ones. 

Louanne was a special member of the Mystery Group that meet monthly at the Haslett Library.  She will be missed.  Her comments were always spot on and often humorous.

It was a pleasure to work with Louanne for many years in the Laingsburg Public Schools System.  Her dedication to her students, loyalty to her colleagues and our community,  and down-to-earth authenticity made her an educator for everyone to emulate.
