Marcia Ann Hanneman
April 25, 1926 – April 5, 2018
Marcia Ann (Scott) Hanneman, born April 25, 1926 in Flint and raised in Genesee, Michigan, peacefully passed away on April 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 2007.
She is survived by her son William Scott Hanneman (Janet) of Mason, Michigan, her daughter Carla Jo Pitman (Gregg) of Holderness, New Hampshire, and daughter Jane Elizabeth Bickerstaff (Dennis) of Perry, Michigan.
Marcia will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren Travis Pitman, Emily Pitman, Christopher Hanneman, Joseph Bickerstaff, Eric Bickerstaff, Nathan Bickerstaff and 3 great-grandchildren. Marcia is survived by her brother Robert Scott of Prescott, Arizona, and his daughter Virginia Ferree of Toledo, Ohio.
Marcia and Carl met at Michigan State University after being introduced by Carl’s sister Loentine (Beltz-Goff) who was Marcia’s sorority sister and close friend. Marcia was a loving housewife, mother, and friend. She and Carl lived and raised their family in East Lansing, Michigan. She enjoyed bowling on a league. She golfed on a women’s league at Brookshire in Williamston, MI, and enjoyed playing pinochle with her beloved friends Richard and “Butch” Allen. Marcia volunteered at the Lansing Art Gallery for many years. Marcia and Carl were members of Faith Lutheran Church in Okemos, Michigan since 1959.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, with Rev. Darrell Neves officiating.
