Margaret A. Misfeldt

Margaret A. Misfeldt, born June 7, 1919 to Bernard and Anna (Schrad) Reker passed away December 17, 2013. Mrs. Misfeldt worked as a nurse’s aide for 37 years, working until she was 82 years old and received numerous awards for her excellence in service. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, cooking and practicing her faith. Margaret married C. B. Misfeldt on April 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy and Fran; and brother, Lawrence. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (Bob) Selig, Jeanette (John) Gates, Mary (Bart) Chupp and Charles (Debbie) Misfeldt; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, at St. Martha Catholic Church, 1100 W. Grand River Avenue, Okemos, MI 48864. Family will receive friends one hour prior to mass at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Martha Catholic School, 1100 W. Grand River Avenue, Okemos, MI 48864, and/or the Haslett Beautification Association, P.O. Box 22, Haslett, MI 48840, in memory of Margaret A. Misfeldt.
