Margaretta M. Freburg

Née Arcaro, passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones on August 8, 2021 at the age of 87. She enjoyed recipes of all kinds. Cooking and baking with her grandchildren brought her the most joy. As well as serving her community, Margaretta was a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church. She was a mobile meals chairman, wedding coordinator, and nursery attendant for many years.

Born in Elmira, New York on February 8, 1934, she then went on to study at Elmira College where she was voted May Queen. From there she studied Physical Therapy at Mayo Clinic where she met the love of her life and lifetime partner, Stanley Freburg. She and Stanley were married on September 19, 1959. They moved to East Lansing, Michigan where she became a home healthcare Physical Theraist. Their greatest gifts are their three children, Margaretta Beth (John Delaney), Jeffrey Lee (Mariella Medina), and Jon Stanley (Pamela Freburg). She adored her grandchildren, Christian, Jed, Gabriella, Gretta, Emerson, and Elianna.

Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel from 10:00-12:00 on Thursday, August 12, 2021 with a short service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Plymouth Congregational Church.
