Marje Masters, 70, beloved mother of Christina (Dave Lavin) and Laura, and doting grandmother of Samantha and Katherine Lavin passed away August 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Onderdonk and her brother David McMahon. She is survived by her brother, John Milton McMahon III. She grew up in Fairport, New York and attended Potsdam-SUNY and Michigan State University. She spent the majority of her career in East Lansing in Elementary Education and received numerous awards including the ADK Programming Award, the Schlock Cousteau Award and organized the Calder Bromley Award, the Alpha Scholarship (ADK) and the Field of Dreams Project at Glencairn School. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ele’s Place, 1145 W. Oakland Ave., Lansing, MI 48915 or Benincasa Hospice Care, 3880 Rush Mendon Rd, Mendon, NY 14506 in memory of Marje Masters.
