Marjorie B. Bartels Ebert

Born August 18, 1927 in Pekin, IL to John L. and Christine (Hilst) Bartels, died August 25, 2012 at the age of 85. She graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Music Education and taught for several years. Marjorie was a professional church organist for over 29 years. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Wharton Center Inner Circle and was a member of the University Club and the P.E.O. Chapter BB East Lansing Sisterhood.

Surviving are her husband, Emerson; two daughters, Diane (Joseph) Yarbrough of East Lansing, and Rhonda (Jeffrey) Benson of Dublin, Ohio; two grandsons, Joseph (Catherine) Yarbrough of Ave Maria, Florida, and their three children, Isabella, Gabrielle and Edward Joseph; and Stephen Yarbrough of Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2780 Haslett Road, East Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior at the service.
