Went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 24, 2014, and to join her husband Victor (deceased 2006) in celebrating their 72nd wedding anniversary. She leaves behind her daughters, Jean (Bill) Paull and Joan Jordan; son, John Sheneman to continue her wonderful legacy of love and caring for others to her grandchildren, Michael, Tim, Marc, Stephen and Allison and their spouses as well as her four great grandchildren.
For more than 25 years she taught 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade at Glencairn School in East Lansing. She had high expectations for each of her students and loved them dearly. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an educational sorority.
Marge was the last active charter member of Trinity Church (1952) now located on Dunckel Rd. Her love for children and reaching was evident in her involvement with teaching Sunday School, VBS and MOPS.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 27, 7:30 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hiawatha Youth Camp, PO Box 1456, Southgate, MI 48195 in Marjorie’s memory. The camp is located on Piatt Lake, Eckerman, MI also the location of her summer home. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.greastlansing.com.
