Martha Jane Hatz

A beloved daughter of her Heavenly Father, saved by grace though faith in Christ, entered the joy of her Lord on May 23rd, 2024.

Marti was born on October 25, 1971 and is survived by her husband of almost 30 years, Jonathan, and her daughter, Sarah, of whom she was most proud.

Marti had a fervent love for God and her family. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, her cats, and telling everyone she met “You know what you need to do is…”

Marti was proud of her accomplishments that include owning her own business for over 25 years, earning a degree from Lansing Community College, and receiving a Life Saving Certificate from the Merdian Township Police Dept. for saving Jon’s life. She was always quick to tell anyone the importance of knowing CPR.

Marti was always quick to talk to anyone she didn’t know. She didn’t understand the concept of a stranger. Because of this, she had many friends she made along the way and will be sorely missed.

Arrangements were made by the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral home. A memorial Service will be held by the family at a future date.
