Born January 31, 1926 to Darwin and Bertha Brown in Plymouth, Michigan, passed away December 26, 2010 at the age of 84. He earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. Myron was a professional engineer with the Department of State Highways and Transportation where he served as the Head of the Materials Research Unit in the Departments Testing and Research Division. He was a World War II veteran and served in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Myron was a charter member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brown; nieces and nephews, Lori (John) Kelley of Haslett, Jody (Warren) Kimble of Haslett, Jim (Sherry) Haviland of Mt. Morris, Richard (Lisa) Haviland of Haslett, Patricia (John) Ludwig of Denver, Colorado, Michael (Donna) Soule of Bloomfield Hills; and good friends, Nancy Ridley, Camala Reissinger of Okemos and Karl Bartels of Haslett. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1315 Abbott Rd., East Lansing, with Rev. Margie L. Osborn officiating. There will be visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Myron.
