Nancy Stuart Passanante

Nancy S. Passanante, 88, died October 24, 2025. She was born February 14th. 1937, in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Grosse Pointe and then later resided in East Lansing for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed working at Michigan State University and then retired to take care of her grandchildren. She loved her family. She loved to travel. She loved her Catholic faith. She was very charitable in the East Lansing/Lansing area giving to many different charities supporting and enriching the lives of many people. Surviving are her children: James of Louisville, KY; Michael of East Lansing; and Loretta of East Lansing; 7 grandchildren: Allie, Matt, Maggie (Joey), Jill (Kelsey), Anthony (Kelly), Sarah and Dominique and 3 great grandchildren: Annabelle, Roman and Charlotte. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband James, son Thomas and son-in-law Hasan.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 29th from 1-3pm and 5-7 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. There will also be visitation at St. Thomas an hour prior to the funeral.
