Neva Jean Fizzell

Neva Jean Fizzell was born on February 8, 1928 in Lansing, MI the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Fitzgerald, and passed away on December 20, 2015 at the age of 87. Neva Jean worked at Auto Owners Insurance for over 30 years in the Agency Department. She was a Charter Member of St Martha's Catholic Church who lit a candle weekly and loved singing in the choir. One of her greatest enjoyments was her role as GG to her Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brothers, Thomas and Raymond Fitzgerald; sisters, Bernadette Peterson, Kathleen Droste and Mary Alice Barry. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cindy (Douglas) Aven and Kathy (Gerardo) Suarez; grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Kazmierski, Amanda Aven (Reggie Anderson), Roberto Suarez, Monica Suarez; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Alexander Kazmierski, and Zoe Anderson. A special thank you to her nieces, Mary Ann Peterson and Ellen Passage. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 1100 West Grand River Ave., Okemos, MI 48864 with visitation one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2-4 p.m., 6-8p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823 with a rosary at 7:00p.m.
