Norma A. Hopkins

Formerly of Lansing, born December 12, 1929 in Lansing, MI to James and Bernice Roberts. Norma passed away on February 23, 2016. Norma grew up in Lansing, MI where she met the love of her life, Joe, in 1945. Norma and her husband were married for 62 years. Norma and her husband enjoyed their summers at their cottage in Michigan and their winters in Florida. Norma enjoyed dancing and karaoke with her husband and friends. Family was very important to Norma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin D. “Joe” Hopkins; her parents; sister, Geraldine Stage. She is survived by her three children, Cheryl Hopkins, Daniel (Lisa) Hopkins and David (Judy) Hopkins; five grandchildren, Stacey (Kelly) Render, Shelly (Jerome) Hartley, Joseph (Kelly) Hopkins, Travis Hopkins (Jessica McRee) and Kyle (Sarah) Hopkins; nine great grandchildren, Andrew, Cade, Abigail, Lucas, Adelynn, Jacob, Brielle, Ryder and Allison; brother, Richard Keeney; nephew, Bill (Marilyn) Stage and several other nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 1:00pm, Lakeside Chapel, 5800 Park Lake Rd., Bath, MI with Pastor Michael Geiger officiating. Family will receive friends at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Chapel, Youth Activity Center, 5800 Park Lake Road, Bath, MI 48808.
