Pamela Sue Freburg

Pam was born October 23, 1969, to Gerry Kaminski and Shirley Kaminski. She grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and later met the love of her life, Jon Freburg, while attending college in Holland, Michigan. The two were married on October 17, 1992, and shared more than 32 years of marriage together.

For 31 years, Pam dedicated her career to working in adoption with eLegacy Adoption. Her work was much more than a job to her. Pam was deeply passionate about helping children and finding loving homes and families for those who needed them. Her caring and nurturing nature made her especially wonderful with children of all ages, and she carried that same love and devotion into her own family.

Above all else, Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She treasured time spent with her family, including their annual vacations to Mackinac Island, a tradition that brought many happy memories over the years. She loved going out to eat—especially for Italian food—and was always happy with a good meal and the people she loved around the table.

Pam was quiet when you first met her, but once she became comfortable, her warm personality quickly came through. She was caring, loving, and had a way of making those around her feel at ease.

She was also most definitely not a morning person. A true night owl, Pam could sometimes be found awake until 4:00 in the morning, often catching up on one of her favorite shows. Her television tastes covered just about everything, from Survivor and Big Brother to The Real Housewives, lottery shows, and The Walking Dead.

And those who knew Pam knew she had very particular tastes when it came to her drinks. Coffee and Diet Coke were favorites, especially a Speedway coffee loaded with creamer and enough Splenda—sometimes as many as 20—to make it exactly the way she liked it.

Pam is survived by her beloved husband, Jon Freburg; her children, Christian, Gabriella, and Emerson; her granddaughter, Elianna Freburg; her parents, Gerry Kaminski and Shirley Kaminski; her brother, Peter Kaminski; her sister-in-law, Mariella Freburg; her brother-in-law, Jeff Freburg; as well as extended family, friends, coworkers, and the many families whose lives she touched through her years of adoption work.

She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Stanley and Margaretta Freburg.

Visitation will be held at Riverview Church - Holt Venue, 3585 E Willoughby Rd, Holt, MI 48842, US, on September 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location at 11:00 am.
