Philip Carey

Born August 4, 1929 to Stans and Catherine Carey, Philip Carey died October 19, 2010 at the age of 81. He served his country in the Naval Reserves and was a Lansing resident for the past 47 years. He was the owner/operator of several Culligan Franchises since 1953. Philip was a devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Philip is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; sons Michael, Mark, and Matt; and his grandchildren, Chris, Catie, Shawn Carey, and Breanna Weber.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00-8:00 in the evening at the funeral home.
