Richard James Reid

Richard James Reid passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the age of 53. He was born on October 25, 1965 in New York City.

Throughout his life, Richard always enjoyed working with his hands, and never shied from hard work. He worked many years at Plywood Sales and Grand Rapids Sash and Door before moving to Meridian Township and City of Lansing Public Works Departments.

Rich was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his Michigan and East Coast families. His favorite place to be was on the beach at the Jersey shore for family reunions.

He is survived by his mother, Diana Reid; children, Sarah (Josh) Lerch, Michael Reid and Zachary Reid; siblings, John Reid, Donna (Rudy) Fernandez and Stephen (Kathy) Reid; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at The Williamstown Township Hall, 4990 Zimmer Rd., Williamston, MI 48895.
