Bob was a member of the first graduating class of Lansing Christian School in 1963. Drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967, he attended the Officer’s Candidate School and eleven months later was sent to Vietnam as a second lieutenant. After serving as platoon leader through months of jungle combat, he was promoted to first lieutenant and appointed Security Officer to the U.S. Embassy in Saigon in the final year of his active duty.
Upon returning to Lansing he went on to receive his B.A. from MSU in 1972. He was the owner and founder of Capital Business Service. Bob found tremendous pleasure in helping others. His greatest joy in life was serving the Lord, his clients and his beloved family. He will be remembered for his devoted love as a husband, father and grandfather.
Bob is survived by Joyce, his wife of 43 years; their son David (Irina) of East Lansing, and daughters Sarah (James) House of Rochester Hills, and Carolyn of Lansing. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Lydia, David and Andrew House, and Michael Isenga.
