After Graduation from Everett High School, Bob served in the United States Navy (1962-1967), serving both domestically and overseas in the Philippines.
He worked many years in the Lansing School District before ending his Electrical career at Michigan State University, where he dedicated over 20+ years mentoring and teaching many co-workers who were assigned as his work partner.
As an avid motorcycle, car and boat lover, he spent many hours throughout the years racing, fixing, fishing and enjoying time outside. Once retired, he would spend weeks boating on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Bob was an accomplished bowler and was fortunate to have a perfect 300 game during his lifetime.
Survived by his brother(s) Richard (Margie) Lower and Roger Lower. Step-daughters Kristin (Joe) Shurmur and Stacey Eschberger (Chris Turner), Grandchildren, Kelsey and Joey Shurmur, Madison and Mackenzie Eschberger, and several nieces and nephews in the Lansing area. Preceding Bob’s passing was his wife of 44 years, Sharron Lee Lower and brother, Raymond (Mary) Lower.
Bob as very mechanically inclined, there was nothing he could not fix or repair, while always doing so with his own sense of humor. Services are not scheduled at this time.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greastlansing.com for the Lower family.
