
Passed away peacefully on February 10, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Robin was born November 9, 1938 in Staten Island, New York to Dr John Arthur and Mary Clare Ward. Robin graduated from Bowling Green University with a degree in Speech Therapy. She had a love of life, music, singing, and rowing. She was a dedicated board member and passionate supporter of the Seven Rivers Association and Chesapeake Bay Trust.
When Robin discovered she had Alzheimer’s she entered a study on the disease at Michigan State University in the hopes that she could help others with this debilitating disease.
Robin is survived by her mother, Mary Clare Ward of Melbourne, Fl; two daughters, Brina (Al) Singletary of Okemos, MI and Krista (Javier) Ward Ireland of Madrid, Spain. She also is survived by sisters, Tracy (Khairy) Kawi of Buffalo, NY and Bethe Ward of New York, NY.
Robin will be greatly missed by nine grandchildren: Allison, Jill, Stephen, Gabriel, Alejandro, John-Nicolas, Seth, Evan, Elizabeth Claire; and one great grandson David.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers who cared for Robin as she fought this disease for the last 6 years.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
