Rodney P. Darche

Passed away on December 11, 2015 at the age of 67. Rodney was born December 18, 1947 in Kankakee, IL to Francis and Laura (Hanley) Darche. He was a graduate of St. Anne Community High School and Danville Community College in Danville, IL. He was employed for thirty years in the food service industry and was Vice-president of merchandising and marketing with Sysco Food Service. He taught food service classes MSU’s School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. He is survived by his wife of forty seven years, Marsha; two sons, Kenneth and Timothy and wife Amanda; two grandchildren, Geddy Lee and Afton Elisabeth; one aunt, Virginia Harry and uncle Kenneth Tunks. Also surviving are in-laws, Carol (Paul) Rittmanic, Neil Wolven, Gerry Hallas, Charles (Linda) Wolven, Kathryn (Jim) DeYoung, and Kenneth (Rita) Wolven; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015, 3:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI 48823. Visitation will follow service.
