Ronald Allen DeHoog Jr.

Ronald Allen DeHoog Jr. of DeWitt Township, Michigan, passed away September 13, 2015. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 1, 1963 to Ronald Allen and Jane Venus (Vanderstelt) DeHoog Sr. He proudly served his country as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. Some of Ron’s happiest days were the time served on the Admiral's staff on a Communications vessel overseeing the Pacific Quadrant. Ron was self-employed. He enjoyed the companionship of the family's German Shepherd dog, Nikko; and cat, Keiki; whom he worried over and spoiled with love. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sr. and brother, Matthew. Surviving to cherish his memory are mother, Jane and step-father, Richard Rogers; sister, Rebecca (Jeff) Hilliard; Special nieces, Jessica Carlson and Jennifer Hilliard; and great-nieces, Chloe and Cayden Carlson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, Michigan with visitation one hour prior.
