Rose was born in Tonganoxie, Kansas in 1931 and was one of 10 children. She married Joseph Marx in 1951 and was by his side for 62 years, until his death in 2013. Her journey through life included residences in Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan and a retirement home in Florida. She traveled internationally with our father visiting Australia, Germany and England and she truly enjoyed seeing and experiencing new places.
Rose is survived by her 5 children, Janine (Dave) Winters, Joyce Marx (Tom Quasarano), Joe (Liz) Marx, Jeryl (Dave) Hall and John (Lorri) Marx. She was a Grandmother to 9 and Great-Grandmother to 11 where she provided an environment of love, support and fun!
Our mom was all about family gatherings, where she spent countless hours preparing meals and providing a home for all to enjoy our time spent together for the occasion. She will always be treasured for her specialty desserts that only Grandma could make. She brought life to the parties she planned for her family. She was active in volunteer work over the years through her church membership, school activities and many hospital and VFW functions. She was very proud of her accomplishments including receiving her real estate license as well as her work in the insurance industry where her personality and dedication enabled her success in helping others.
Everybody knew Rose, and Rose knew everybody, at the community events and gatherings she attended over the years. She was truly a social butterfly throughout her life with countless friends and memories of her experiences.
Our family extends their appreciation to everyone who provided support, comfort and friendship to our Mom over the years.
There will be a private family ceremony at a later date.
For anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution, one can be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
