Sarah Lynn Witkus

Sarah Lynn Witkus was born on November 17, 2004 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the daughter of Michael and Susan (Donahue) Witkus, passed away on April 10, 2016 at the age of 11. Sarah was a 5th grader at Murphy Elementary School in Haslett, Michigan and was an outstanding student. Her favorite subjects were Math and Social Studies. Sarah truly enjoyed her many hobbies which included, arts and crafts, singing, piano, ballet, horseback riding, games, reading, cooking, swimming and sewing. Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Michael and Susan Witkus; brother, Andrew James Witkus; grandmother, Bettye G. Donahue; grandfather, John A. Donahue; aunt, Karen L. Selin; uncle, Todd S. Selin; cousin, Mitchell T. Selin, and many other beloved extended family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Sarah’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at The Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI with Rev. Andrew Pomerville and Rev. Drew Filkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Attendees are encouraged to wear Sarah's favorite colors of pink, purple or red. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sarah’s memory in care of The Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823 benefiting the Murphy Elementary Links Program and the Chrons and Colitis Foundation of America (Camp Oasis).
