Sergey Stark, born July 7, 1960, in Moscow, Russia to Yury and Vera Stark, passed away October 27, 2018 at the age of 58. Sergey earned his Ph.D. in Moscow and moved to Italy where he worked for the National Institute for Nuclear Physics. In 2014 he moved to East Lansing where he was employed at MSU in the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams. He then worked as a Staff Physicist in the Cryomodule Department on Super Conducting Radio Frequency couplers and tuners.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Anastasia; sons, Yury and Victor Stark; daughter, Nina Stark and sisters, Vera and Maria Ruda.
A memorial gathering will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing, Tuesday, November 6, at 5 p.m.- 8 p.m.
