East Lansing, Michigan
This world has lost a quietly exceptional man. Stanley P. Fauquher was born in Evansville, IN. on September 24th 1932, and was ushered into Heaven on January 10th, 2013. He graduated from Purdue University and was an officer in the Navy from 1954-1956. Stanley was also an engineer at GM for over 30 years. He was married for 57 years to the love of his life, Grace (Crissey) Fauquher, and is survived by his son Tom Fauquher, and daughter Mary Grace Braatz (Jeff). He was blessed with five grandchildren, Spencer Fauquher, and Gracie, Liza, Ava, and Wyatt Braatz. Stanley loved sports, sailing, and bridge with his buddies, but above all else he loved a good laugh and chocolate ice cream. He battled COPD silently and stoically for over twenty years, yet still put his family’s wellbeing first. Christ’s love was certainly reflected in and through Stan Fauquher. There will be a mass and celebration of Stan’s life at St. Thomas Aquinas on Monday, January 14, 2013, 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2013, 2-4 pm. with a Scripture Service at 3:00 pm, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers, those that desire can make donations to the St. Thomas Outreach Mass, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI 48823.
The family would also like to thank all of the quality doctors and nurses that have given Stanley such good care over the years. This includes Dr. Ropp, Dr. Rawsthorn, and Dr. Armstrong, Sheila from Hospice, and everyone at Wynwood of Meridian. He would have called you all “friend”! Thank you for being such a blessing to him and his family. Stanley is now at Peace, praise God from whom all blessings flow!
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing, Michigan. On line condolences may be made at www.greastlansing.com
