

Suzanne Rush Rebeck passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on March 22, 2024 in her home in Haslett. She had suffered a long bout with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 14, 1941 to Samuel and Dorothea Corneer. She graduated from Omaha Central High School and attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska where she met and married Eugene Rebeck of Hickman, Pennsylvania on June 7, 1962. She continued her education at MSU after which she taught Music and Art in the Lansing Public Schools. She was a long time member of Lansing Matinee Musicale, taught Private Suzuki Piano, served as a Suzuki Mom, Suzuki Grandma and was a Docent for the Eli Broad Art Museum until her aphasia forced her to retire. She also served on the Meridian Township Board of Appeals. She loved singing in the church choir, loved to cook and served many church dinners. After hurricane Katrina, she helped initiate several mission work trips helping rebuild in New Orleans as well as in tornado stricken areas of Alabama. She is survived by her husband Eugene Rebeck of Haslett, Son Paul Rebeck and wife Molly of Lansing, Son David Rebeck of New Orleans and Grandson Simon Rebeck of Lansing.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held at University United Methodist Church in East Lansing on June 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.
