

Ms. Batterson-Sharma was a Speech Pathologist, an alumnus of Michigan State University, as well as a graduate of Northwest High School, Jackson, Michigan. A disciplined, high achieving student, Trisha also participated in sports (cross county; & track), while developing a particularly wide universe of friends.
Trisha was an exceptionally kind, empathetic, intelligent, funny, and hard-working woman who actively participated in causes from social justice to medical research. She truly lived her life so as to make everyone’s lives better.
She is survived by her husband, Dhruv Sharma; her four children, Madison Green (Ben Haun), Elliot Gronda, and Uma & Mira Sharma; father, Jim Batterson; mother and stepfather, Pam and Randy Beach; sister, Courtney Batterson Sigler (Mark); sister, Hannah Batterson; brothers, Graham, Joel (Holly), & Aaron Beach (Courtney); and stepmother, Mary Groom. Ms. Batterson-Sharma is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her godmother & aunt, Terri Swihart.
Trisha’s experiences with her children were as important as anything in her life. Besides her never-ending commitment to help each one grow successfully, she expanded their views via travel. Just in recent years her children visited India, Italy, Canada, Mexico, and numerous Northern Michigan locales.
Per her wishes, Ms. Batterson-Sharma has been cremated. All friends and family will be invited to pay their respects at an upcoming “Celebration of Life” party. Details forthcoming.
