Velta Lee Tate

Velta L Tate, age 91, of Coleman, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born April 14, 1931, the daughter of Hoke and Mildred (Wade) Kelley. Above all she loved family and people. She loved travelling, and went all over the world buying wine. She loved her job at The Country Store in East Lansing and was known as the wine lady. After retirement in Florida, she put on wine tastings for the other residents. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved dancing with her husband, Damien.

Surviving are her husband, Damien St. Louis; daughters, Yvonne Espinoza of Port Angeles, WA and Donna M. (Robert Porth) Hiser of of Coleman, MI; stepdaughter, Lise (Dan) Ethier of Rhode Island. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Juan T. Espinoza and Robert Tate.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, with visitation from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
