Virginia Lerner

Virginia Aletha Lerner Lansing, Michigan Virginia Aletha Lerner took the hand of her Lord and Savior and entered Heaven on November 25, 2013. Virginia graduated from Grace Hospital School of Nursing, and went on to work at Sparrow Hospital in Labor and Delivery, and also for Drs. Jones and Trescott. She was a lifelong member of Colonial Village Baptist Church and was a member of the Delta Township Kiwanis Club. Virginia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary (Reimer) Mann; husband, Seymour; and granddaughter, Laurel Anne May. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Gail (Andrew) May; son, Mark (Lynne) Lerner; grandchildren, Lindsay (Mathew) Fukuzawa, Benjamin May, Matthew May, and Adam Lerner; great grandchildren, Hannah Laurel and Luke David Fukuzawa. Thanks for everything, Mom. We love you and miss you already. The service will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00am, at Colonial Village Baptist Church, 2010 Boston Blvd. Lansing, MI 48910. Rev. H. Randolph Morgan will be officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5-8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 East Grand River, East Lansing, MI 48823. Contributions may be made to Colonial Village Baptist Church or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, P. O. Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909, in memory of Virginia. We would like to send our condolences to Mrs. Lerner's family. We are saddened to find out that our neighbor passed away and we were unaware of it until now. Wish we would have known so we could have paid our respects to our long time neighbor and friend. Our prayers are with the family at this time of loss.
