Wesley Bellon

Wesley Bellon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 18, 2022.Wesley was born in Lehr, ND on October 25, 1934, the fifth child of Mary (Marie Weixel) and Victor Bellon who preceded him in death.

Wesley spent over 40 years in the grocery business beginning at age 11 in Hardin, MT and eventually bought and operated his own store, Bellon’s Grocery in Laingsburg, Mi. He was a meat cutter by trade.

Wes loved the Lord and enjoyed His creation. He liked to be outdoors hunting, fishing or farming. He was a friend to anyone he’d meet and loved to serve others and his family. He loved singing , playing his harmonica and dancing a jig with one of the grands.

Wesley is survived by his loving wife, Gaynal (Raiche) Bellon of nearly 68 years; his children, Joseph (Margie) Bellon of Lansing, Peggy (Rock) Campbell of Hudsonville, Patsy (David) Sehlke of Holt, Penny (David) Imeson of East Lansing, Pamela Bellon of East Lansing, Polly (Noah) Manring of Columbia, MO; 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Graham Church, 7320 W Beard Rd, Perry, MI with Pastor Mike Hixson officiating. The family will receive friends at 10am with service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Graham Church.
