Yvonne was born September 24, 1944, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan to Robert and Maxine Aber. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School with the class of 1962. At the age of 19 she received her cosmetology license, retiring at the age of 73. Her favorite part of her job was forging lifelong friendships with some of her clients.
Yvonne was a resident of East Lansing for almost 50 years. She took painting classes in Grand Ledge for many years and enjoyed painting beautiful landscapes and whimsical paintings for loved ones. Her favorite pastime was shopping with family and friends. She enjoyed shopping for home decor and “treasures” at garage sales and on Facebook Marketplace.
Yvonne’s love language was giving, happily doing anything for anyone at any given moment. Giving up her time to help anyone who needed it, baking homemade pies and cookies for her friends and family, running errands for anyone who needed help, giving flowers to brighten someone’s day, helping out with rides for her grandchildren, or just simply taking the time to listen to someone if they needed to talk or vent, Yvonne was always available.
She took much pride in taking care of her loved ones. Yvonne also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her grand dogs, Finn and Doug. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she was so proud of each and every one of them.
Surviving are her husband of over 35 years, Gary Warriner; children, Benjamin (Lynn) Raynor and Darcie (Andrew) Galloway; step-children, Craig (Kim) Warriner, Scott (Karen) Warriner, Keith (Kathy) Warriner; grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle, Gavin, Olivia, Kellan, Nolan, Bryanna, Kristen, Jacob, Elizabeth, Nathan, Nicholas, Eric, Jason, Matt, Sara, Max and Michael; sister, Denise Aber; nephews, Rodney, Scott, and Matthew; nieces, Julie, Wendy, Meredith, and Arianna, as well as several lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Maxine (Hunt) Aber; sister, Vicki Bauman and daughter-in-law, Joy Goe Warriner.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 25, 2026 at The Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River, East Lansing. Refreshments will follow in The Robertson Room.
