Zhen married his beloved wife, Ding Hu, in China in 1978. He moved to the United States of America in 1999 and became a culinary chef in the East Lansing and surrounding areas before eventually retiring in 2018.
He loved his family and his friends and enjoyed cooking for them all. He especially adored his grandson and took great pleasure in fishing.
Zhen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ding Hu; son, Li Liu (Hongli Zhang); grandson, Jackson Liu; and two brothers and one sister in China. He is preceded in death by his parents, Yuanxin Liu and Nanying Ai.
