Zola Marie Nelson

Died March 26, 2014 at the age of 83. Zola was born April 29, 1930 to Cleon A. and Margaret L. (Baughman) St. John in Charlotte, MI. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and bowling. Zola also loved visiting with her friends at church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph O. “Ollie” Nelson, son, William “Bill” Nelson, brothers Clifford, Arthur, Alfred St. John and her parents, Cleon (Florence) St. John and Margaret (Theodore) Croy.

She is survived by five daughters, Carol DeLine Goins, Sarah DeLine (Ed) Brown, Cathy Kent (David) Bartholomew, Patricia Nelson Ward, and Delores Nelson Wisner; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 28, 2014, from 4-7 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March, 29, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lansing Baptist Church, 5960 Okemos Road, East Lansing, MI, with Rev. Robert Grimwood officiating. The family will also receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, MI.
