Al’s work experiences were focused on supervising heavy highway construction, and he was previously employed by the State of Illinois, Wiegand and Storer, and C.A. Powley Construction. Ultimately he finished his construction career as an independent business owner.
Whenever possible, Al navigated the White Fish Chain in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, in his turquoise 1977 Lund accompanied by his longtime fishing buddy Frankie Worrall. Additionally, sometimes Jim Thune and Scott Pederson drowned worms with him. The stories only grew with each retelling!
