Anna Margaret Pinkham

She was born June 29, 1929 in Secor, IL to John and Theda (Schroeder) Otten. She married Lyle E. Pinkham in Benson, IL on July 31, 1949. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cheryl; sister, Betty Reinking; and grandson, David Williams.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Stanley of East Peoria, Mary Mahring of Creve Coeur and Susan (Dave) Williams of East Peoria; one son, Thomas (Carla) Pinkham of East Peoria; grandchildren, Bobby Stanley, Jill (John) Lutton, Michael Moore, Christopher Moore, Alicia (Megan) McKeighan, Scott Mahring, Jeremy Mahring and Matthew (Loretta) Pinkham; great grandchildren, Cody Stanley, Jon Lutton, Samantha Lutton, Jimmy Stanley and Nash Mahring.

She is also survived by one foster son, Aaron (Angelita) Sanford of Pensacola, FL; three foster daughters, Sally (Donald) McCarroll of East Peoria, Joanna (Al) Fleckenstein of Creve Coeur and Daisy (Harold) Brodt of Georgia; two sisters, Linda (Joe) Stromberger of Woodstock, GA and Janice (Joe) Hart of Laughlin, NV.

Anna was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton where she taught Sunday school for many years and performed other volunteer services. She was a past president and secretary of Woodrow Wilson Mothers Club in East Peoria, a Cub Scout leader, and was involved with Boy Scouts and Crippled Children Campaign. She worked at Caterpillar for 10 years and retired after 28 years from Libby’s in Morton in 1994.

Visitation will be at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 N Missouri Ave. in Morton, IL 61550 with Rev’s. Mark Anderson and Jeff Anderson officiating. Further Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services Saturday at the Church. Graveside Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso, IL.
