Anthony Joseph Svob Jr.

He was born November 22, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois to Anthony J. and Bette (Knott) Svob, Sr. He married Connie Owen April 21, 1967 in East Peoria. She survives. Also surviving is his mother of Bartonville; one daughter, Stacey S. (Carlos) Medina of Johnsburg, Illinois; one son, Shawn (Erin) Svob of Pond Creek, Oklahoma; two grandchildren: Cole and Rowan Svob of Pond Creek; and one sister, Judy (Carlie) Franklin of Washington, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father.

While living in the Peoria area Tony worked for Thompson Food Basket for 35 years, and was currently working for Continental Resources in Oklahoma.

He was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church in Enid, Oklahoma.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Tuesday September 4, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
