East Peoria – Barbara A. Cox, 79, of East Peoria, IL passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Heartland Health Care in Peoria, IL. She was born January 28, 1935 in Witt, IL to Ellahan and Helen (Echoff) Nussman. She married Harrison Cox on August 1, 1952 in Patterson, NJ.
Barbara was a homemaker and a beautician working many years at J.C. Penny and taught at High Fashion School of Cosmetology in Peoria. Her hobbies included: cooking, baking, sewing, reading, and going to the movies with Harrison. Barbara also had a passion for painting.
Surviving are her four children: Lynn (Steve) Johnston of Fairfield, CA, Vicki Henderson of East Peoria, IL, Karen Cox of Washington, IL, and Steven (Elaina) Cox of Lowpoint, IL, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
