She was born January 24, 1934 in Danville, IL to the late Alvin C. and Ruby (Hasty) Jording. She married Walter E. Bennett on May 14, 1965 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2018. She is also preceded in death by 2 infant children and one step son, Jeff Clayton. Betty is survived by one son, Matthew Bennett of Dunlap.
She was lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Friday October 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate.
Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Mt. Hawley Cemetery in Dunlap.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Preschool program.
