She was born on October 21, 1930 in Simpson, IL to Maurice and Madge ( Breeden) Harris.
She married Charles G. Rodgers on March 24, 1954 in Corinth, MS. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Phillip Rodgers; two brothers, Jack Harris and Bob Harris; and one great-granddaughter, Annabelle Rodgers.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Joy (Donald) Cramer of East Peoria, Carol (Brian) Aaron of East Peoria and Lisa (Greg) Hanley of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Brad Rodgers, Conaley Aaron, Whitney Andal, Timothy Hanley, Samantha Hurd, Jessica Rozek and Cheyenne Rodgers; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue (Art) Gibbons and Sharon (Dennis) Harris-Johnson; and three sister in laws, Hazel Harris, Ludene Harris and Trecie Loyd.
Betty worked as a mail clerk for Caterpillar until retiring in 1986. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
