She was born January 2, 1931 in Blodgett, MO to Barney and Orpha (Lawson) Kelley. She married Robert M. Sommerville September 9, 1961 in Peoria. He preceded her in death January 14, 1989. Her parents and one sister, Joy Edith Glover also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her two children, Kathy (Mike) Roan and Robert (Michele) Sommerville both of Washington; 7 grandchildren, William Sommerville, Rachel Roan, Tytia Cushman, Brooklyn Fugate, Alexandria Sommerville, Seth Roan and Paighton Hetrick; one great-grandson, Braxton Gumm; one brother, John (Sue) Kelley of Peoria, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Ducky.
Bonnie was a member of the East Peoria Church of Christ, where she was part of the Women's Bible Class and helped in the Food and Clothing Pantry. She was also a member of the Golden Agers Club and Captain of her Building at Leisure Acres. Bonnie had worked for many years as a Rehabilitation CNA at Maple Lawn Nursing home. She loved her Lord, her church, her family and her friends. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, sewing, crafts and listening to all kinds of Music.
A funeral service will be at 5:30 pm, Saturday, May 18, 2019 with visitation from 4 pm until the time of service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Cremation will be accorded following the service and burial of the urn will be at a later date at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria..
