Carol Sue Krumwiede

Carol Sue Krumwiede, 72, of Washington, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at a local hospital. Carol was born on March 20, 1953 to her parents, Orrie Wilbur Gerber (“Jody”) and Shirley Livengood Gerber.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jerry Krumwiede, in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her partner, James “Moe” Marlott in 2017, and her siblings, Brigitte Thewlis, Bruce Gerber, and Jodi Richard.

Left to cherish Carol’s memory is her loving family; son, Jody Krumwiede; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Kim, and beloved pets, Jemmy, Sassy, Gracie, and Waldo.

Carol retired from K-Mart and The Peoria Civic Center. She enjoyed reading, solitaire and other games on the computer, and her late night tea with honey. She will always be remembered for being the “best hugger”, her wicked sense of humor, and always giving advice – whether you wanted to hear it or not.

Cremation has been accorded. Remmert Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
