Cathy L. Totten

She was born October 24, 1950 in Peoria, IL to Charles Curtis and Gladys Eileen (Hart) Carter. She married Gregory L. Totten on April 8, 1972. She was preceded in death by her father.

Surviving are her husband, Greg of Pekin, her mother Gladys of East Peoria, one daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Egli of Grand Junction, CO, her grandson, Zachary Egli, two sisters, Monica Clemens of Germantown Hills and Sandi (Brad) Armstrong of East Peoria, one brother, Chris Carter of Peoria, one aunt Ramona Bricka of Creve Coeur, nine nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews.

Cathy worked as an Administrative Assistant for Snelling Personnel until retiring in 2008. She also volunteered at the Illinois Cancer Care Center in Peoria and was a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.

She was the Honorary Survivor for the East Peoria Relay for Life and was an eleven year member of the Charlie's Angels Relay for Life team. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who was great with her nieces and nephews and ended her calls with her grandson with "Hugs and Kisses."

A visitation will be Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur. Burial will follow the mass at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
