

He was born June 7, 1943 in Peoria to Charles F. and Clara E. (Just) Waters, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steven Knickerbocker, and one nephew, Richie Witt, Jr.
Survivors include four daughters: Stefani Heaton of Peoria, Priscilla Thompson of Virginia, Monica Stevens of East Peoria, Holly (Steve) Sizemore of Washington, two sons: Ron Heaton of Chillicothe, Gerome (Wendy) Hess of Pekin, fifteen grandchildren, and one sister Sandy (Rick) Dahlene of Peoria.
Chuck was a Vietnam War Navy Veteran serving on the USS Enterprise air craft carrier. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. Aug. 1, 1998 after working there 36 years. He was a member of the Local 974, he was a Union Stewart, member of the North Pekin AMVETS, and the Masonic Lodge. Chuck’s family would like to give a special thank you to his Hospice nurse, Roweena for her special care given to Chuck.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be Saturday April 2, 2011 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Local 974 hall at 3025 Springfield Road in East Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
