Christina M. Ahten

She was born Oct. 25, 1929 in Peoria to Ruperto and Marcellina (Hernandez) DeArcos. She married Arthur Ahten in July, 1957 in Mississippi. He survives along with nine children. Six daughters, Mary (Dale) Schroeder of Litchfield Park, AZ, Sandy Steinseifer of Peoria, Linda Menees of Peoria, Cheryl Osegera of East Peoria, Tina Ahten of Peoria, AZ, Diana Dailey of Peoria, three sons: Koko (Sharon) Chapai of Peoria, Danny (Kim) Chapai of East Peoria, and Michael (Lesley) Ahten of Peoria. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

Christina was a Homemaker and was a member of Oak Grove Bible Church in East Peoria.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 30, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Funeral Services will be Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Bible Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the South Side Mission.
