I had Mr.Heren as a professor this semester and I am honored to have gotten to know him in the short amount of time we had. He was a very smart and kind person. The first couple weeks of class I could tell that he really loved and cared about teaching. He was a very inspiring person and a jolly guy. The last day I saw him was the Thursday before he passed away and couldn't even believe that he was able to teach in the amount of pain and struggles he was having. I had a lot of respect for him and sadden that I wasn't able to learn more from him and end the semester with him as a wonderful teacher. I will be praying for the Heren family.

I've known Chris since we were introduced from a mutual friend in fourth grade. There is never an easy time to lose a friend, whether unexpected or expected. I was shocked and disheartened to learn of the loss of Chris. My heart goes out to the Heren family and all of his near and dear friends during this time of mourning. May Chris rest in peace, in hopes to one day be reunited in God's Heavenly kingdom. Keeping Chris and the Heren family in my daily thoughts and prayers...
