She was born December 12, 1945 in Rogersville, TN to James and Edith May (Laster) Gilliam. She married Ed Bolen in July of 1966, in Bloomington, IL. He passed away July 21, 1989 in Peoria, IL. She is also preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Martha Lee Taylor, Linda Cralley and Geri West.
Survivors include one daughter, Yalonda Pickrel of Pekin; two sons, Jim (Cheryl) Bolen of Pekin, Dorsey Bolen of East Peoria; one daughter-in-law, Myra Schatzman of North Pekin; nine grandchildren, James Bolen, Christina Bolen, Kyle Pickrel, Austin Pickrel, Lukas Bolen, Tanner Bolen, Morgan Pickrel, Clay Pickrel and Zander Schatzman; five great-grandchildren, Makenna Bolen, Avery Bolen, Juno Bolen, Theo Bolen, and Zoey Walker; and one great-grandson due in July.
Clemmie was a homemaker and had worked at many local area restaurants. She enjoyed visiting with her friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11am at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
