

She was born on February 27, 1947, in Chadron, Nebraska, to Robert Douglas Moody and Lavetta Mae (David) Moody. Both preceded her in death.
She graduated from Eureka High School in Eureka, Illinois, in 1965 and went on to attend Midstate Business College, where she met her husband Deno Ori. Connie and Deno were married on March 3, 1967, at the Eureka Presbyterian Church.
Connie is survived by her husband, Deno Ori; two children, Ryan (Katie) Ori of Chicago, Illinois, and Kelly (Todd) Coomer of Washington, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Ethan Grosenbach of Washington, Illinois, and Ava, Leo, and Finn Ori of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Ridenoure of Omaha, Nebraska, sister-in-law Gayle Moody of Sullivan, IL and many nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Moody of Sullivan, Illinois.
She began her career at Bradley University, where she worked from 1967 to 1971, and later worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring as Postmaster of Bryant, Illinois, in 2008.
Connie was a member of her Bunco club since 1968 and treasured those friendships. Her favorite pastimes were reading, Bradley basketball, and going on escapades with her sister. Her very favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren & was very proud of all of them and loved every moment she was able to spend with them.
Cremation has been accorded through Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The family will celebrate Connie’s life with a private gathering.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
