Dearl L. McKinney

He was born Nov. 9, 1941 in Houston, MO to Paul and Ida (Lay) McKinney. He first married Darlene Miller Sep. 2, 1960 in East Peoria. He later married Lawanda Lowery May 24, 1976 in Houston, MO. She passed away July 18, 2006 in Decatur. He then remarried Darlene Perdue Nov. 14, 2013 in Tazewell County. She survives along with two sons: Dearl (Kim) McKinney, Jr. of Bellevue, Dennis McKinney of East Peoria, one daughter, Pam Nelson of Springfield, MO, one step-son, Joe McKinney of Decatur, IL, one step-daughter, Tanya (Tommy) Wingard of Decatur, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers: Bobby (Lucille) McKinney of Galesburg, Danny (Sally) McKinney of East Peoria, Ricky (Sue) McKinney of Princeville, and one sister, Darlene Davison of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dwaine McKinney, and one sister, Virginia James.

Dearl was a Construction Superintendent for H.T.H. Companies, Inc. in Union, MO last working May 28, 2010.

Funeral services will be Monday Dec. 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
