He was born March 19, 1935 in Peoria to Floyd and Gertrude (Schmidt) Allison, they preceded him in death. He married Joan Burroughs on June 19, 1955 in East Peoria.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife Joan, their two children. Carol (Daniel) Treloar and Scott Allison, three grandchildren, Beverly Guerra, Cheryl Allison and RaeAnn Treloar, two great-grandchildren, Nathan Panty and Ava Allison and two siblings, Alan Allison and Gay Griffin.
Ray served in the U.S. Army and worked for over 25 years with Caterpillar Inc., before retiring as a Supervisor at the Tech Center. He was an avid golfer, giving friend and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Cremation will be accorded. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
